-Hiking
and Biking-
Popular for both hikers and mountain bike enthusiasts, as
well as equestrian, trails range from easy to difficult.
There are 2 completed loop trails and the beginning stages
of a cross-canyon trail between Pico and Towsley Canyons.

Canyon View Loop Trail
is a 2.25 mile loop that takes you through grasslands,
sage/scrub, riparian and oak woodlands. Spectacular
views! The trail begins near the creek, east of the
nature center and ends along the Wiley canyon trail.
Return via the dirt entrance road to the nature center
or return the way you came. |
|
The Towsley View Loop
Trail - Farther into Towsley is a new 5.5 mile loop
trail that follows much of the back canyon area,
dropping into Wiley Canyon. An excellent day hike that
shows you the best of the Woodlands' backcountry plus
fabulous views. |

Pico to Towsley
Cross-Canyon Trail - (For hikers only). 7
miles one way. This proposed cross-canyon trek is for
the hardy and hopefully will be completed soon. From
Towsley, it begins just before you enter the Narrows.
The trail has some VERY steep and strenuous sections--it
is intended for the experienced hiker. The trail will
follow the ridge of the Pico/Towsley mountainous divide,
letting out at the end of the Pico Canyon service road.
